Tyrone Mings Suffered Serious Knee Injury

Tyrone Mings suffered serious knee injury against Newcastle with defender facing a long absence that adds to mounting crisis.

Tyrone Mings was taken off just 30 minutes into first game of the new season.

The defender was in tears after injury in Aston Villa's opener against Newcastle.

Aston Villa believe the injury will keep the defender out for a lengthy period.

The England centre-back was carried off on a stretcher after 31 minutes and became the fourth key first-team player out of action, with Alex Moreno, Jacob Ramsey and Emiliano Buendia also on the sidelines.

Buendia damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in training at the end of last week.

While Moreno had hamstring surgery during the summer and Ramsey broke a bone in his foot while playing for England in the European Under-21 Championships in June.

Thanks For Reading!
